Get Clean and Go Green Recipe


Get Clean and Go Green!* is particularly outstanding for cleansing the liver.

This recipe contains cilantro and cilantro is thought to help draw out heavy metals in the body.

With all the fresh raw fruit and vegetables, this detox smoothie is loaded with phytonutrients, such as chlorophyll, vitamins, and fiber.

*Tip: Choose organic fruits and vegetables. Organic is best when trying to do a detoxification. Some of the herbicides and pesticides used on fruits and vegetables can mimic the hormone estrogen.

Also, herbicides and pesticides have been suspected by the National Cancer Research Institute as a probable cause of certain cancers (i.e., cancers of the brain, prostrate, stomach and lip, as well as leukemia, skin melanomas and Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Green Smoothie Detox Recipe (makes 2 servings):

Ingredients:

1 cup of cold water

½ cup unsweetened coconut milk

1 ½ cups of kale and spinach

3 large stalks of celery

2 apples, cored and chopped

1 banana

2/3 bunch of cilantro

Juice from ½ of a fresh lemon


Directions:

Combine water, unsweetened coconut milk and greens in a blender, and blend on low speed until smooth.

Add celery, apples, and cilantro, while gradually increasing to a higher speed.

Add banana and lemon last and blend thoroughly until smooth.

Pour into glass and savor the delicious goodness of your green smoothie!
